Boston Celtics

  • ’17-18 Record: 55-27
  • ’17-18 Season Series: 1-1
  • ’18-19 Advantage: Celtics

Many people around the league have pegged the Boston Celtics as the team with the best chance at taking down the NBA Champions, the Golden State Warriors. I agree and think this is a 60+ win team if healthy.

Utah obviously had a terrific season last year, and made it to the second round of the playoffs, but they have a lot to prove if they want to be mentioned with a team like Boston. First off, they have to prove that last year’s second-half surge wasn’t a fluke, and that they are legit contenders.

Boston has missed the playoffs just once over the past 11 years. They’ve been a consistent threat in the Eastern Conference, and were one win away from the NBA Finals this year. They played without All-Stars Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward for the entire postseason.

Utah is great, but Boston is simply on another level right now.
