Darren Collison, Indiana Pacers

Although Victor Oladipo has deservedly grabbed the headlines in Indy this year, Darren Collison deserves some of the credit for the Pacers’ surprising success. He continues to be one of the league’s more underrated point guards.

Over his career, he’s been a 13-5 guy and that continues to be the case. However, there have been some nice little improvements in his game this season. For example, he’s taking more than 30 percent of his shots as threes for the first time in his career and knocking them down at a 44 percent clip. His steal percentage is also higher than ever.

Offensively, he’d be a better fit with the current Jazz roster than Ricky Rubio and he’d save the Jazz a few bucks to boot. Both players’ deals run through next season, but Collison is due just $10 million compared to Rubio’s $14.8 million. Collison’s deal is also partially guaranteed next year, which would give the Jazz better flexibility.

I don’t know if Indiana is inclined to move him, but this is one I like a lot for the Jazz.
