Utah Jazz: Pros and Cons of Potential Trades
The Utah Jazz have several options to consider as the trade deadline inches ever closer.
With the trade deadline just a day away, anticipation and speculation are at an all-time high. Some teams have already been busy as the Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons engaged in a trade that saw Brandon Jennings and Ersan Ilyasova go to the Magic in exchange for Tobias Harris.
Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets, Miami Heat, and Memphis Grizzlies also agreed on a trade that sent Chris Andersen, P.J. Hairston, and two second-round draft picks from the Heat to Memphis, Brian Roberts to Miami, and Courtney Lee to Charlotte.
With these first near-deadline trades already wrapped up, it’s only a matter of time until the rest of the dominoes start falling. The Utah Jazz are among a slew of teams that have been connected to several trade rumors with multiple outlets reporting today that the Jazz are heavily shopping Trey Burke and have had multiple discussions with teams about the third-year point guard.

This should come as no surprise as the Jazz’s point guard play has been its weakest link so far this season and Burke’s streaky play has made him very much expendable. Certainly Burke isn’t the only Jazz player whose name has come up in trade scenarios, but he seems to be the most likely one out.
It’s also very possible that at the end of it all, the Jazz will stand pat with what they have. Regardless of what happens, here are four potential trades that have either been reported, or were submitted by fans of The J Notes, and what they would mean for the Jazz.
