The NBA announced eight new "Specter Edition" jerseys for some of the league's oldest teams. The Jazz were not selected to be one of the teams featured in this new collaboration between the NBA and Nike and instead will be featured in the "Standard Issue" Nike collection.
These new Specter Edition jerseys have received mixed reviews from NBA fans with a lot of people calling them ugly. It is obviously hard to give a full review of the jerseys as we have yet to see them in a full uniform set and on the court with NBA players wearing them but the early reviews have been negative across social media.

As for the Jazz, the team is finally putting behind them the awful rebrand that saw the team wear highlighter yellow and a basic black and white color scheme. With Utah going back to their roots and wearing the iconic purple mountain uniforms with a modern update, the Jazz have gone from some of the worst jerseys in the league to one of the best.
With the memory of those yellow uniforms still lingering, did Utah catch a break by not being featured in the Spector Edition uniforms? Maybe we will see the Jazz get their own Spector Edition uniforms in the future if the NBA decides to roll those out to a couple of teams every year, similarly with how the MLB slowly unveiled city connect jerseys over the course of multiple seasons.
The Jazz still get some new swag
The NBA and Nike partnered to give all 30 NBA teams a new Standard Issue Collection and some of the designs look similar to what Nike is doing with the Spector Edition.

These products are more in line with what we've seen Utah come out with since their rebrand back to the purple mountains while keeping the black and white branding. Compared to the Spector Edition jerseys, Utah fans should be happy with how this collection turned out.
It will be cool to see the Jazz backcourt duo of Keyonte George and Darryn Peterson rep this gear during the 2026-27 season in what hopes to be an exciting season for Utah.
