The Utah Jazz took care of what many thought was going to be next summer's biggest offseason priority by extending Keyonte George on what could be a team-friendly extension. Among those who are stoked to see this is Jaren Jackson Jr.

After George's extension, JJJ posted a three-emoji response on his personal X account, revealing a key lock emoji, a mountain emoji, and a purple heart emoji. It's easy to deduce that he's talking about George and is also very excited to see his teammate get his new bag.

JJJ has already voiced his desire to turn the Jazz into championship contenders and has even explored Utah on Utah-specific holidays. In other words, this has been a trend with him that has only continued, as demonstrated by him shouting out George getting his new deal with the team.

For everything that the Jazz are and should be excited about when it comes to Jackson, what's equally exciting about him is that he really is the model teammate who is supportive of who he plays with while also voicing his faith in how good the team can be.

Part of what makes a true title contender is a winning culture. The Jazz know this because part of what limited their ceiling with Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell was the fact that those two definitely weren't on the same frequency.

The Jazz are building something worthwhile

By trading for JJJ and extending George, Utah not only is making a concerted effort to keep their more talented players, but are also keeping guys who have made it clear that they want to be Jazzmen. That hasn't always been a guarantee in the past.

That should factor into why everyone should be excited about what's to come from them. Not just because they're on track to have their best season in years, but because this window that they are about to open up will be filled with high characters who clearly know that the team success is the end goal.

JJJ could have been radio silent about the whole thing and congratulated George in private. Instead, he shouted out his blossoming star teammate, further enforcing his excitement for George and by extension, where the team goes from here with him locked up for the foreseeable future.

These last several months have been kind of torturous for Jazz fans. Not only did they have to endure two more months of tanking after the JJJ trade, but they just snagged one of the most exciting prospects in years with Darryn Peterson, and now they've extended a cornerstone of their future.

Can the season just start already?!
