Meet The Team
Dan Lower
Dan Lower is a contributor for Saturday Blitz (college football) and The J-Notes (Utah Jazz) with FanSided. He resides in Utah and has followed the Utah Utes football team for over 20 years, as well as college football, which has evolved from the Bowl Alliance to the BCS and now the CFP. Dan enjoys board games, collects memorabilia from sports, TV, and pop culture, and enjoys the outdoors. He also enjoys going on cruise vacations with his wife.

Jackson Gordon
Jackson Gordon has been a FanSided Contributor since May 2025. He studied Communication and Marketing at Utah Valley University, and after graduating, helped build a marketing agency whose work has been featured on outlets such as Business Insider, ABC, CBS, and NBC. In his free time, he consumes a ridiculous amount of NBA content. He is excited to combine his love of writing and storytelling with his fandom.

Josh Cornelissen
Josh is a Senior NBA Site Expert at FanSided, writing about the entire NBA. Covering basketball online since 2015, Josh is an avid fan of the NBA, WNBA, and college hoops, with a special love for NBA history. His grasp of the CBA allows him to go deep into the NBA's transactions and determine whether this trade or that signing is legal under the second tax apron. He lives near Atlanta, GA, with his wife and young sons, where he also serves as a pastor at his church, plays board games with friends, and re-ranks the Star Wars movies incessantly.

Jack Simone
Jack Simone is the Site Expert and Editor at Hardwood Houdini. He is a credentialed member of the media and has been on the Boston Celtics beat for three full seasons. Following a Bachelor's degree at Worcester State, he earned a Master's in Sports Communication at Regis College, graduating in 2022. He's worked at CelticsBlog, Heavy.com, and other FanSided sites, all starting in 2020. In his free time, he enjoys watching YouTube, playing basketball, and golfing, though he is still on a quest to break 90.

Maxwell Ogden is a full-time editor covering the NBA. He was previously a Contributor Sourcing Specialist for FanSided and spent four years as the Site Expert at Daily Knicks. Maxwell has been a sports writer for more than a decade, with previous experience at Bleacher Report. In addition to being a lifelong NBA fan and historian, Maxwell is a massive football fan. You know, the one you play with your feet.

Matt John
Matt John is the site expert for The J-Notes and has been overseeing the website since June 2024, providing the best coverage possible for Jazz fans. He has been writing about the NBA since 2016, with bylines at Basketball Insiders, Basketball News, Heavy, and The Sporting News. He has been closely following the Celtics since 2001, but has also paid more attention to the Jazz since moving to Utah in 2015. He also enjoys watching TV shows and movies, and occasionally watches some True Crime.
