Philadelphia 76ers

"Jazz Receive: Marcus Morris Sr, Robert Covington, 1st Rd Draft Pick (PHI), 1st Rd Draft Swap (LAC) 76ers Receive: Jordan Clarkson, Simone Fontecchio"

The 76ers have been linked to the Bulls’ star forward Zach Lavine should Chicago finally enter a rebuild, the Bulls’ front office will likely be looking to get more than the 76ers are able to offer. Should Daryl Morey be unsuccessful in finding a star on the market this trade deadline and realize that playing the Free Agency market is a thing of the past, Danny Ainge will be calling his phone.

For the Utah Jazz, they add even more picks including a very valuable future swap with the Clippers. Robert Covington was on the Jazz’s radar for years during the Mitchell-Gobert teams, so it’s pretty poetic that the Jazz acquired him now. While Morris Sr and Covington are in the twilight of their career, they can add a veteran presence to a very young locker room and solid minutes if needed.

With the emergence of Tyrese Maxey who is looking like an all-star this season, the 76ers might just be looking to add role players instead of a third star allowing Maxey and MVP Joel Embiid to have the ball in their hands more.

While this trade is very unlikely Jazz fans would be ecstatic to see fan favorite Jordan Clarkson competing for the Larry O’Brien once again.
