Play Jordan Clarkson and Talen Horton-Tucker less

As mentioned above, the two players who are hurting the team the most are probably Talen Horton-Tucker and Jordan Clarkson. They have made so many bad decisions to start the season, and with someone like Clarkson, all you see is bad shot after bad shot. Clarkson’s shot selection is terrible, and he’s taking a lot of awful, just terribly planned shots.

He’s always been someone who can only score, which he can do well from time to time, but it’d be fair to say he was never elite, though borderline at times would be fair. The problem is, he’s streaky. Super streaky. The guy can get buckets in masse, but not every day.

And the coaches let him. If he’s shooting just 36% from the floor, there’s no reason to let him shoot more in a game than Lauri Markkanen.

If that wasn’t bad enough, the Jazz are watching him turn over the ball nearly four times per game. He is averaging five assists per game, but if you’re turning it over four times, who cares?

As for Horton-Tucker, between the two right now he’s the better option. But he’s also shooting badly, 41.7, and is only 11th on the team in True Shooting. He’s been a solid defender but as with Clarkson, his lack of shooting and his streaky defense isn’t going to help him keep his spot.
