Alex Caruso – Chicago Bulls

The Utah Jazz need someone like Alex Caruso to start for them right now. The Jazz’s defense is horrid and a lot of it has to do with the small-ball lineups that head coach Will Hardy keeps running. Having three guards out on the peremiter isn’t helping things. Especially since those guards seem to include the worst defensive players on the team.

Kris Dunn and Ochai Agbaji are only so good with the guys around them, and not having reliable help defense from John Collins is sinking any chances that this team can succeed. Getting rid of some guys and adding Caruso will help the team be able to better defend.

And would give you the ability to have Caruso, Dunn and Agbaji on the court at the same time, giving you the best defensive unit you can muster for the peremiter. He’s also not going to be a huge liability offensively while he’s on the court, either.

He’s hitting from over 50% from the floor and 36% from the three-point line. He has his highest true shooting percentage of his career, and could realistlically be a starter for the Jazz. He’s exactly what the team needs, here’s hoping that the front office sees that and goes to get him.
