The Utah Jazz got the first name on their schedule and it belongs to…
The NBA schedule has not been released as of press time but the leaks are starting to come. We already know that the Utah Jazz will open up the preseason against the Sacramento Kings on Oct. 19, in Sacramento, CA. But now we know who will be the first team for the regular season.
According to some leaks, the Jazz will not have to worry about preparing for a brand-new team, as they’re going to be facing off with the Kings once again. Only this time the teams will swap locations, moving from Sacramento to Salt Lake City, Utah.
The game will see two of the better up-and-coming clubs square off against one another, both with lingering questions from the 2022-2023 regular season. The Kings are a team that many expect to see continued success from. The ’22-’23 season was seen as a surprise to many, but for the Kings’ faithful, the pairing of De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis gave them hope ever since the day they made the trade.
The Kings won 48 games last season, and are hoping to add to the total in the 2023-2024 season.
The Jazz, on the other hand, are the team that many are unsure of this season. Like the Kings before them last year, the Jazz are a team of two minds; a young squad that many want to see take the reigns and a team who just made a relatively big swing for a big man in the hopes of competing for the playoffs.
The two teams’ recent history have many curiously watching the Jazz to see if they’re the Kings of this season, as well as watching the Kings to see if they’re for real.
Both clubs have lofty expectations this year, and neither team is going to lie down for the other in this opening contest.
