The Utah Jazz are constantly in trade rumors at the moment, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to make any trades at the moment.

It seems like every day the Utah Jazz are tied to new rumors. Be it for Damian Lillard, Tyler Herro, or D’Angelo Russell, it seems someone believes the team will be making moves. Unfortunately, for those who love the trade season of the NBA, the Jazz seem to be done making moves.

At least for now.

Sarah Todd of the Desert News, recently wrote that the team is likely done making moves before the season. While she did say she expects them to be done, for now, she does point out that the Jazz have a unique collection of expiring contracts, assorted talents, and draft picks that can be flipped in the right trade.

She goes on to say;

"I do expect this to be the roster the Jazz start the season with. But, this is the NBA and the Jazz are in a particularly flexible situation with expiring contracts, tradable players and valuable draft assets.It’s been said many times, but bears repeating: The Jazz are going to be involved in every conversation that they want to be a part of and many that they have no interest in. They have too many draft picks stockpiled for the other team in the league to ignore.So, while I don’t expect the Jazz to make any big moves before the 2023-24 season begins, there’s always a chance. Also consider that the NBA could shift significantly before this offseason is over.With Damian Lillard and James Harden potentially on the move, there could be a scramble at the tail end of the offseason by teams reacting to some changing dynamics."

It’s unlikely the Jazz get in on the likes of Lillard or James Harden at any point. Danny Ainge wants to go young and talented, which is why John Collins arrived in town. He’s a young forward with an upside who’s still improving, and with a healthy year in a system that doesn’t punish him for wanting to score, who knows what his ceiling is.

Those are the guys that the Utah Jazz are after, and those guys don’t normally pop up at the start of the season, not unless something monumental breaks.
