Chris Duarte, Indiana Pacers

After taking somewhat of a step back with the Indiana Pacers this past season, partially due to injury, it would be interesting to see if the team would be open to trading Chris Duarte this offseason. In what has suddenly become a loaded backcourt in Indiana, Duarte could be somewhat lost in the rotation.

With the emergence of Andrew Nembhard, the continued excellence of Tyrese Haliburton, and the expectation that Bennedict Mathurin will be a starter and Buddy Hield could be shifted to the shooting guard position, it could be difficult for the team to carve out a huge role for Duarte next season. Even less so considering the Pacers could be adding another wing with the 7th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.

The Jazz should at the very least make a call to Indiana to ask about Duarte. Even though he struggled to find his footing during his sophomore season in the NBA, he had a great rookie year in which he averaged 13 points and four rebounds on 37 percent shooting from 3-point range.

Maybe the Jazz are able to pry him out of Indiana for one of their late first-round picks?
