Jae Crowder’s Utah Jazz Debut
Jae Crowder was acquired by the Utah Jazz from the Cleveland Cavaliers in February of 2018 in exchange for Rodney Hood. Crowder went on to become a fan-favorite in Utah, and a key player off the bench. He was included in the Mike Conley trade last summer.
Fans will always remember him as a dog on the court. Someone who isn’t afraid to fight, always willing to hustle and make the winning plays. Crowder plays an admirable brand of basketball, that’s for sure.
Crowder made his debut with the Jazz in Portland. The Jazz were wearing their City Edition uniforms against the Portland Trail Blazers. Crowder fit in right away, as he scored 15 points and made 3 three-pointers in his debut. Donovan Mitchell and Joe Ingles combined for 51 points in this game.
The Jazz also got the road win, as opposed to the game in San Antonio. Former Blazer and current Jazzman Ed Davis had eight points and 12 rebounds.
That was the beginning of a successful stint in Utah for Crowder. Overall, Crowder averaged 11.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game as a member of the Jazz. He now finds himself in an ideal situation with the Miami Heat.
