After perhaps the most successful offseason in franchise history, the Utah Jazz are just one month away from commencing a highly anticipated season.
Following a busy free agency period that saw the Jazz pick up five rotation players in Mike Conley, Bojan Bogdanovic, Jeff Green, Ed Davis and Emmanuel Mudiay, there hasn’t been this amount of excitement circling Utah’s fan base in quite some time.
Most would say that the Jazz haven’t had such a legitimate chance of winning a championship coming into a season since their defeat at the hands of Chicago Bulls in the 1998 NBA Finals. Furthermore, the front office have put all their eggs in the basket of contending in this two-to-three year window. So in many ways, this can be a make or break season for Utah.

After being well represented at the FIBA World Cup with Rudy Gobert, Joe Ingles and Donovan Mitchell all putting on their national colors, the attention has turned to the beginning of the NBA season.
However, there is still plenty to keep an eye on before the Jazz commence their 2019-20 campaign. Media Day is just around the corner and will take place on September 30th.
Soon after, the preseason will start up as the Jazz host the Adelaide 36ers on October 5th – the first on a five-game preseason slate. They will then go on to play in Milwaukee on the 9th and in New Orleans on the 11th, before coming home to play Sacramento on the 14th and Portland on the 16th.
All games will be televised on AT&T Sportsnet with the exception of the Sacramento Kings game which will only be available on radio.
From there, the season is just a week away as the Jazz have their opener on October 23rd against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Vivint Smart Home Arena. Fans can begin to breathe a sigh of relief as the season seems as though it’s finally upon us, and the brief lead-up to opening night will be filled with excitement and intrigue.
