Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell adds yet another product to his growing pitchman portfolio.

Move over Billy Mays (RIP!), Anthony Sullivan and Vince Offer, there’s a new pitchman in town. Namely, Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell who, in his quest to become the ultimate Utahn has added the most Utah brand imaginable to his growing list of endorsements.

Per an announcement from the company on Wednesday, Mitchell has signed on with doTERRA, the world’s largest purveyor of essential oils, as a performance advocate.

“Donovan Mitchell embodies a rare combination of humility and confidence teamed with all-star skills and instinct, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him join the doTERRA team,” said doTERRA founding executive Emily Wright in a release.

Mitchell first heard about essential oils through his mother, Nicole, who relies on aromatherapy to improve her mood and promote relaxation. Here’s the whole Mitchell clan talking about Donovan’s journey and doTERRA —

Of course, if you live in the 801, chances are you’re well familiar with doTERRA and their oils. The multi-level marketing company is based out of Pleasant Grove, Utah and have marketed their products as health supplements and alternative treatment for a host of ailments.

In other words, it’s as Utah as funeral potatoes, lime Jell-O, the phrase “Oh my heck!,” the ceaseless inversion over the Salt Lake Valley and fry sauce (yuck).

I, for one, enjoy the privilege of having my very Utah wife smear things called “Breathe” and “DigestZen” all over my skin on the regular. Who’s to say what it does for me, but the lavender oil smells nice?

In addition to his involvement with doTERRA, Mitchell officially joined Kobe Bryant and James Harden as part of BodyArmor’s sports drink roster in January. He’s also a brand ambassador for Adidas, and will see his first signature shoe — the Spida-inspired D.O.N., Issue No. 1 — launch in Q3 of this year.

Jazz fans can catch Mitchell this weekend in the NBA All-Star Risings Stars Challenge. He’ll also act as a commentator during the 2019 Slam Dunk Contest.
