Two more players have been linked to the Utah Jazz for their summer league roster. NBA Summer League action tips off in July.
With the 2018 NBA Draft now behind us, prospects that weren’t fortunate enough to hear their names get called on draft night have begun to hitch their wagons to NBA Summer League squads in hopes of continuing their careers. Several players have already been linked to the Utah Jazz’s summer outfit.
Two more ballers joined the fray of reported roster invitees this weekend. Namely, St. Bonaventure guard Matt Mobley and forward Peyton Aldridge from Davidson.
Both players participated in pre-draft workouts with the Jazz.
Mobley, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound combo guard, just wrapped up a four-year college career as a first-team All-Atlantic 10 selection. As a senior for the Bonnies, he put up 18.1 points and five rebounds per game. He also knocked down 37 percent of his 8.3 3-point attempts per contest and was an 86-percent foul shooter.
He was named the US Basketball Writers Association Player of the Week in mid-February after helping St. Bonaventure snap then 16th-ranked Rhode Island’s 16-game win streak (at the time, the nation’s longest streak). Mobley scored 26 points and grabbed nine boards in the game.
Before making the move to St. Bonaventure, Mobley spent two years at Central Connecticut.
His agent announced the upcoming trip to Jazzland via Twitter.

Aldridge, meanwhile, was the Atlantic 10’s Co-Player of the Year last season.
A four-year starter for Steph Curry‘s alma mater, the 6-foot-8, 225-pound forward averaged 21 points and eight rebounds per game over his final two years of college ball. He too was a high-level 3-point shooter, knocking down 39 percent of his triples over his college career.
He was also a National Player of the Week in Feb. (per CBS Sports) after dropping 45 points in a triple-OT loss to Mobley’s Bonnies.
The Charlotte Observer’s David Scott was the first to report on Aldridge potentially jumping in with the Jazz’s summer league squad.
The Utah Jazz tip-off summer league play on July 2 in SLC against the San Antonio Spurs. They’ll also be participating in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
