Rodney Hood
Rodney Hood has been the target of some serious fan angst recently, but let’s be real here. As a former late first-round draft pick, he’s seriously blown any expectations we may have had for him out of the water. And the 2017-18 season has been Hood’s best year yet.
Through 38 games played, he’s averaging a hair under 17 points per contest and shooting 42 percent from the field and 40 percent from 3-point range. Sure, he’s not the go-to guy many expected him to become following Hayward’s departure, but he’s been really good offensively.
He may be frustrated in Utah and fans have definitely been frustrated by him, but his skills are in high demand around the league. The Detroit Pistons, Chicago Bulls, Denver Nuggets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Orlando Magic and others are said to be hot on the Hood chase.

The price is probably steep — I’m talking a first-round pick and/or quality players coming back — but it seems as if he has a foot out the door already and even though Utah would have team control in retaining his services this summer, doing so would come at a pretty penny.
The Jazz will be motivated to move him for the right offer this week.
