An exceptional piece from ESPN’s Zach Lowe highlighted several players being shopped at the trade deadline, some of which could be appealing to the Utah Jazz.
The NBA trade deadline is nearly upon us and, as we all expected, speculation and reports have begun ramping up this week. Several players around the league are purportedly being shopped and the Jazz are apparently doing their due diligence to see what they might be able to do to improve.
Although, considering that there might not be a whole lot of beneficial pieces that the Jazz could acquire at the deadline for the players they’d be most interested in moving and with how well Utah has played of late, it’s entirely possible that the February 8th deadline will end up being a little more quiet than we originally presumed.
Then again, there’s about an equal chance that the Jazz could come out and completely surprise us.
In fact, the Jazz were mentioned in detail in a recent trade deadline preview piece from ESPN’s Zach Lowe, where he dove in to the different approaches Utah could take this week, particularly with the likes of Derrick Favors and Rodney Hood who are both set to be free agents this summer. The piece is an absolute must-read for Jazz fans to help prime them for the coming days ahead leading up to the deadline.
But, of course, the Jazz were far from the only team brought up in the piece. Lowe mentioned a number of players being shopped that very well could be of interest to the Jazz. Some of those from his recent article are ones that I’ve already discussed in detail in previous pieces such as Aaron Gordon, Kemba Walker and Tyreke Evans, so I’ll forego beating a dead horse here. However, Lowe’s piece mentioned several other players being shopped, eight of which particularly caught my eye.
So without further ado, here’s a look at eight additional players the Jazz very well could have on their radar with the trade deadline nearing.
