Evan Fournier, Orlando Magic

This one could be a hard get, but there’s a lot to like about Evan Fournier in a Jazz uniform. In the words of The J-Notes’ own Jared Woodcox, Fournier is an “electric shooter” and could be an “ideal fit” with the Jazz and his Les Bleus teammate, Gobert.

At just 25, Fournier is just beginning to approach his prime years and, already, he’s scoring 18 points a night on a 46-39-89 shooting line. He could be all the things a vocal contingent of Jazz fans want Hood to be, but feel he’s falling short on.

The concern with Fournier would be his money limiting the Jazz’s ability to corral a third star through free agency. However, his deal at $17 million per year through 2021 is actually pretty darn reasonable for a player of his ilk. And, really, Utah probably doesn’t top the list of many (or any) established stars’ preferred destinations.

Orlando is definitely willing to move Fournier, but can the Jazz make the best offer?
