Utah Jazz report card: Each Jazz player’s grades at the season’s midway point

Overall GPA: 2.50 (B-minus)
Up until last night, Hood had seemed to be handling his new role as Utah’s sixth man with flying colors.
However, frustrations seemed to boil over for the Duke product last night in Washington. After getting his second technical of the game after complaining to an official, Hood was immediately ejected.

After being moved to Utah’s second unit, Hood initially looked like the offensive answer the Jazz desperately needed off the bench. Hood’s recent play, however, has been inconsistent, to say the least.
Poor late-game decisions and spotty play have seemed to plagued Hood’s game as of late and has even led some Jazz fans to see the former 23rd overall pick as an expendable piece.
While I am not quite ready to give up on Hood, he needs to continue to refine his offensive game if he wants to continue to be looked at as one of the league’s promising young scorers.
Until he can find his shot, Hood gets his lowest marks since a slow start to the season earned him a C-minus at the ten game mark.
