15) Los Angeles Lakers
Former University of Utah Runnin’ Ute Kyle Kuzma put up a gem on December 20 against the Houston Rockets. In 40 minutes on the floor, the rookie dropped 38 points on 12-of-17 shooting, hit seven 3-pointers and added seven boards and four assists for good measure. As a result, the Lakeshow shocked the Rockets 122-116.
That’s about the only good thing that’s gone down in La-La Land recently.
The Lakers have lost four straight games and things have gotten contentious in the locker room and throughout the organization. On Thursday, the team bypassed practice so the players could air their grievances about what’s happening on the floor, as well as behind the scenes.
Lakers had a team meeting yesterday where players aired grievances about what’s happening on the court and, per Brandon Ingram, “the business of the organization.”
