Raul Neto – Han Solo

I’ll probably get some grief on this one as Han Solo is one of the most important characters in Star Wars and Raul Neto is certainly considered by most as simply a member of the supporting cast, but just hear me out on this one.

First of all, there’s no denying that one of the best bromances in all of Star Warsdom is the one between Chewbacca and Han Solo. Therefore, if Rudy Gobert is Chewie, then it only stands to reason that Neto would be the scruffy-looking nerf herder himself. I mean, just look at their pictures from this summer – can’t you see the two of them pairing up as Chewbacca and Han?

Not only that, but Han Solo is the character that’s the most handsome and charming, albeit roguish, of the original trilogy and Neto certainly fits that ticket with his boyish good looks. And just like Han always seems to unexpectedly defy the odds and save the day, Neto consistently saves the Jazz from constantly injured point guards and defies the odds of falling out of the rotation despite having several guards perceived as more talented above him on the depth chart.

Yes, Neto has been steady and reliable for the Jazz at every turn in spite of overwhelming odds, (odds which you should never tell him, by the way). He’s done so to such a point that if we as Jazz fans were to collectively say, “Neto, we love you,” he would simply reply by coolly saying, “I know.”
