As the Utah Jazz look to get the 2017 NBA Preseason started out on the right foot, these are the three areas in which they’ll have to excel in order to defeat the visiting Sydney Kings.
In some ways it has felt like the start of the 2017-18 Utah Jazz season would never get here, but in other ways it’s hard to believe that we’re already back into yet another season. Although preseason is of course far from as exciting and nowhere near as meaningful as regular season play, it’s still a fun first look at new teams with some great story lines, and an excellent way for teams to round their way back into form.
Speaking of great story lines, earlier today our very own John Keeffer touched on a trio of them that will be intriguing to watch as preseason gets underway. And as the Utah Jazz look to round back into form, all of us here at The J-Notes are looking to do the same as each of us has been preparing for the upcoming preseason action.
Much like last year, we’ll plan to hit you each game with a “Keys to the Game” piece previewing what it will take for the Jazz to win each and every contest. Although the Sydney Kings are an Australian squad, not an NBA team, they will be fired up to be playing on such a big stage against a team from the world’s best basketball league and thus it should make for an entertaining game.
And while it’s just the first game of preseason and we all have a lot to learn about the Jazz as they have to learn about themselves, there’s still a few things they’ll undoubtedly need to do in Monday’s contest if they hope to come away victorious and tip off preseason play with a perfect 1-0 record.
