Round 2 for Joel Bolomboy

A year ago, the Utah Jazz Summer League was somewhat disappointing for then-rookie Joel Bolomboy. He looked quite timid and struggled to find his stroke. However, he dramatically turned things around and went on to have a splendid overall performance in the Las Vegas Summer League.

From there, Bolomboy clearly put in an incredible amount of work with the Salt Lake City Stars and has since vastly improved. He was named an NBA D-League All-Star and many Jazz fans presume that he could potentially step into the role once filled by Jeff Withey or perhaps as a backup power forward with Trey Lyles now gone and Boris Diaw’s future in question.

That will of course depend on just how big of a leap he’s taken since last year’s Summer League. And getting the chance to see him redeem himself from last year’s performance in Salt Lake City without a doubt is going to be exhilarating and highly intriguing for Jazz fans who are anxious to see just how far this Weber State product can go.

His chances of making an impact this upcoming season may very well be made evident by how he performs in the coming weeks.
