Phoenix Suns – P.J. Tucker

The name that has come up most frequently in trade rumors for the Phoenix Suns has been P.J. Tucker. He also happens to be one of the most realistic options in terms of being a fit for the Jazz.

Tucker isn’t the greatest scorer by any means, but he’s a versatile defender that even gave Utah trouble in some of the teams’ match-ups this year. He wouldn’t be my first choice when looking at the league as a whole, but he wouldn’t be a bad option if Utah were to end up with him.

In terms of filling Utah’s backup point guard position, both Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight have been mentioned as trade targets for Phoenix. Although Bledsoe is the better of the two, it seems pretty farfetched that the Jazz would acquire him. And while Knight has struggled immensely this season, perhaps he could benefit from a change of scenery and fill in nicely for the Jazz.

Just last season he was averaging 19.6 points and 5.1 assists for the Suns so it doesn’t seem completely out of the realm of possibilities. Still, Tucker would more likely be the better and more plausible acquisition for Utah.

Honorable Mention – Brandon Knight
