3) The New Look
The Jazz roster has been overhauled, but it’s not the only aspect of the team with a new look this season. The team will take the court in 2016-17 with new jerseys, a refined logo and a new playing surface at Vivint Smart Home Arena.
The classic J-Note jerseys have always looked good; now they look more slick than ever with smooth, modern lines coupled with that old school Jazz style. The same could be said for the hardwood floor at the Viv.
I’m especially enamored with the team’s new sleeved “Pride” uniforms. Some have said they look more like soccer kits than basketball jerseys. Others will tell you they’re downright ugly, like something the Houston Astros might have worn in the late 70s.
Me? I think they’re bad — so bad, in fact, that they might just be the best unis ever. In the same way that I live for Ed Wood films or Tommy Wiseau’s seminal classic “The Room,” I’m digging these strange, striped things.
