6) Jazz Acquire Alan Henderson from the Philadelphia 76ers, February 22 2007
The team receives Alan Henderson from the 76ers for cash considerations and the right to exchange second round picks in the 2007 NBA Draft.
Not much to report here as the journeyman Henderson was waived by the team without ever having taken the floor for the Jazz. The six-foot-nine big went on to re-sign with the Sixers and didn’t play in the league again after ’07.
The thing that scores points for this deal is the way in which the team absorbed a contract to gain assets, a move that has been used to great effect in the ensuing years by both O’Connor, as well as current Jazz GM Dennis Lindsey.
