Graham is an undrafted free agent from the 2015 draft class. Coming out of VCU, the six-foot-six wing was considered a strong guard with good size. He was a good defender in college and hit the three fairly well. In the end, Graham went undrafted because teams were worried he may have tapped out his potential.

In typical Spurs-ian fashion, San Antonio picked up Graham for summer league and helped prove he may have a future in the league. Graham averaged 17.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.1 steals per 36 minutes of playing time.

Graham will likely not make a NBA roster to start the year, and will begin his career in the D-League. I do expect that someone will call him up mid-season as soon as injuries start to hit teams.

Purple and Blue’s editor Ryan Aston said the following of Graham’s future in the NBA “If he can continue to develop the three-point shot he showed last season (38 percent, over five attempts per game) there’s absolutely a place in the league for Graham. It just may not be in Utah.”

This will be the key for Graham as he seeks to make an impact on a NBA roster.
