Just for good measure, most of the mock drafts have the Utah Jazz drafting at number 23 in the first round thanks the getting the Golden State Warriors first round pick this season. After looking at guys that should be available around when the Jazz get to that pick in the first round, I have decided who I really like at that pick. If you have watched Kansas play this season, you have obviously noticed Andrew Wiggins and Joel Embiid, but another guy on that team that is a tremendous talent, but has been overshadowed by the two lottery picks. Wayne Selden is extremely athletic and can shoot the ball pretty well. If the Jazz were to draft him, he could be put into the same role that Alec Burks is in this season. If the Jazz draft the way I’ve got them drafting in this mock draft, this is the rotation that I can see happening next season.

PG – Trey Burke               Backup PG – (possibly) Diante Garrett, John Lucas III

SG – Alec Burks                Backup SG – Wayne Selden

SF – Gordon Hayward     Backup SF – Marvin Williams

PF – Julius Randle            Backup PF – Jeremy Evans

C – Derrick Favors            Backup C – Enes Kanter

If you haven’t had a chance to watch Selden this year, I found a video on youtube that shows how athletic this guy can be. Take a look below.

Yes, with this lineup the Jazz will still be a young team, but I think they will still be a pretty good team. Re-signing Marvin is a very real possibility and is more than likely going to happen. With the way Diante has played this season backing up Trey, the Jazz should want to bring him back, but more than likely he will have interest from a lot of teams. I like these additions from the draft, but am I the only one? Leave me a comment below and let me know what you think about the rotation listed above, and let me know what you think about the entire mock draft. Looking forward to hearing what you all think and looking forward to seeing how this whole thing plays out!
