8. Who will lead the Jazz in blocks this season?

Haslam – Favors, easiest one to answer and he will get 3 a game.  The whole team will be top 3 in the NBA in blocks.

R. McDermott – Derrick Favors, no one else will be close

L. McDermott – Derrick Favors. We already know he’s a very good defender and has the talent to become elite. He is going to swat a way quite a few shots this year.

Newman – Hands down this has to be Favors right?  I might say he would get challenged by Rudy Gobert but I don’t think Gobert will get enough minutes to challenge Favors.

Anderson – Derrick Favors; with consideration for Jeremy Evans. Favors is a monster on the defensive end, and that’s his calling card. He’s averaged a great block % in all three years of his career due to his athleticism and defensive prowess.

Powers – Favors will be a beast this season on the defensive end. He can EASILY average 3 blocks per game. I can honestly see games where he could swat away 7 or 8 shots. Gobert, if he sees the floor much, can help out on the defensive end with blocks. Hayward has been known to be able to hustle back on fastbreaks and swat away a few easy buckets. People should be ecstatic about how good this team can be defensively.
