Nov 3, 2012; San Antonio, TX, USA; Utah Jazz forward Derrick Favors (15) dunks during the first half against the San Antonio Spurs at the AT

5. Who will lead the Jazz in Field Goal % this season?

Haslam – Kanter- His jump shot is gonna be even better and his ability around the rim is great.  If he has hops this year watch out.

R. McDermott – Enes Kanter, most shots will be down low where he is a beast, and he shoots a pretty high percentage of his jumpers. Though Evans will probably lead again because all he does is dunk.

L. McDermott – Enes Kanter. He’s a better shooter than Favors and will be getting the same opportunities for put backs down low. Put backs and dunks are a big reason big men usually lead the FG% categories each year.

Newman – Derrick Favors.  The majority of Favors field goals are dunks and layups and he’s really good at getting to the rim.  Kanter will be taking more outside jumpers then I see Favors taking although it’s something we might see more of from Favors as well.

Anderson – Derrick Favors. Why? I believe he won’t take a shot that’s not a dunk or a layup. Plus, he’s been working with Karl Malone. Watch out for Favors.

Powers – It’s honestly a toss up for me between Favors and Kanter. Both guys will be playing around the rim all season, which will give them easy field goal % stats. Kanter might have the edge where I think he will be better on the offensive glass. His per 48 minute stats are better than Favors as well. Per 48 Favors shoots 48.5% from the field, while Kanter is putting in 54.4%. Gotta like those numbers from your starting big men.
