7 : Sacramento Kings select C.J. McCollum, PG/SG, Lehigh
McCollum is an interesting prospect. Nobody really knows what position he plays. However you look at it, the Kings could use his scoring ability.
The Kings have Demarcus Cousins, for now. They could possibly lose Tyreke Evans in free agency if he signs an offer sheet and the Kings decide not to match it. If Evans does happen to re-sign, adding McCollum would help take a little bit of the load off his shoulders.
(another side note. The Jazz worked out McCollum and reportedly really like him. The Kings have been rumored to trying to trade Jimmer to get another 1st round pick. Trading the 14th and 21st picks for Jimmer and the 7th pick is a strong possibility.)
