3 teams who could use Jazz center John Collins (just not now)

John Collins appears to not be going anywhere for the time being, but keep an eye on a few teams as the 2024-25 season progresses.

New Orleans Pelicans - They need a center

The Jazz have popped up as a potential Brandon Ingram suitor. Whether they keep him or not, one thing is for sure: they need a center. They traded away Larry Nance Jr., let Jonas Valanciunas walk, and signed Daniel Theis.

They could roll into the season as is, but that is a pretty massive hole that they can't afford to ignore if their serious about a playoff push. Collins wouldn't be the first guy they would think of, but he would be someone who would help them save money if they swapped him for Ingram, and he's better than Theis.

Since the Zion Williamson era started, the Pelicans have very much lacked a floor-spacing big man to pair next to him. Collins could be a game-changer there in a similar vein to how Lopez was for Giannis when he joined the Bucks because he can shoot threes.

New Orleans has always shown flashes in the Zion era but have never quite put it together. Collins may not be the endgame for them, but he is another step forward.
