3 Reasons a Walker Kessler bounce back year is good for the Jazz, probably

This offseason has been a bit of a ride for Walker Kessler, from a poor summer league showing to trade rumors. A bounce-back year could be a good thing for the Jazz, and their future. It just can't be too good.

His trade value rises

It has been reported that Kessler was in trade talks with the Knicks, but the deal ultimately fell through. Bleacher Report's Eric Pincus believes Kessler is not part of the Jazz's long-term plans. If this is the case, the better he plays, the more value he will garner at the trade deadline.

The Jazz can use this value to grab a draft pick or two to continue their rebuild. Kessler could even grab the attention of a team that has a lottery pick. This is a bit of a long shot, but Kessler is still very young, and a team trying to rebuild could see value in his youth if he fits what they need in a center.
