1. Trade for Brandon Ingram

Ingram has been linked to the Jazz for some time now. He's been in the trade rumor mill for most of the offseason, but he's still with the Pelicans. Ingram wouldn't make sense on the Jazz if their plan was to get rid of Markkanen.

Does he make all the sense in the world now that they're keeping him? The brutally honest answer is, well, maybe? However, thinking more about it, Ingram can't really hurt much if the Jazz stink with him and if he succeeds, it's another step forward.

There are multiple reasons why the Jazz should look into acquiring Ingram. Re-signing Markkanen to a max extension signals that they don't want to put up a complete loser on the court. Pairing him with Ingram could at the very least show that they have some direction.

Even if those two don't pair well together, the Jazz could at least flip for more assets, but that's thinking way too far ahead of time.
