Trade #3 - Tyler Herro for Jordan Clarkson, Luka Samanic and picks

This might be the biggest deal and one that Miami would be open to making, as they have had other players emerge in the absence of Tyler Herro that make him a bit more expendable.

Herro appears to be fully healed from a grade 2 ankle sprain. The Heat were 11-8 without him and are 4-4 when he plays. And there are rumors that he is unwilling to return to a 6th man role, which could open the door for a trade.

Tyler Herro would slot in next to Keyonte George in the Utah backcourt, allowing Collin Sexton and Ochai Agbaji to play in relief once more. Herro and George would be able to alternatively play on or off the ball. Herro is 23 and with 3 seasons beyond this one, is under contract for a while, allowing the Jazz to grow and see if he would be a formative piece moving forward. This deal would also open minutes for Taylor Hendricks in the Utah frontcourt.

Jordan Clarkson would slot in as a bench scorer and relieve Kyle Lowry, and in a tough defensive environment like the Heat, his shortcomings on that end would be less of an issue. And if they aren't able to win this year, his contract drops nearly $10 million next year, making a move easier at that time. Luka Samanic would be insurance for Kevin Love in the frontcourt. At least one, and maybe 2 first-round picks would be added owing to Herro's value, one of the Cleveland picks plus one of our own.

The risk/reward potential of this trade is very useful for Miami, as they gain financial flexibility and a veteran who can help them in the playoffs. It also restores some of the draft capital they have lost from other trades, which sets them up for a post-Jimmy Butler era.
