5. Kevon Looney
Looney wouldn't fit with the Jazz's timeline, so in a way, he would be desirable for the same reason Payton is - he's on an expiring contract. However, Looney is more appealing because he's won multiple titles, is a rebounding machine, and his contract is inexpensive.
Do the Jazz want him on their team? No, but other contenders trying to find good centers on inexpensive deals would, and Looney fits that to a tee. For that reason, the Jazz could get additional assets in a separate deal if Looney is included.
This NBA offseason has been a reflection on the fact that good players are going for cheaper than they should because of the CBA's new restrictions. For that reason, a title contender could pay more than what they typically would for Looney even if he'll hit unrestricted free agency in 2025.
