During this Utah Jazz season, one thing that hasn't been discussed a lot is cap room, and contracts on the books. Compared to some NBA teams, the Jazz are in a good spot cap-wise, with just over $132 million committed to contracts for the 2023-24 season.

The salary cap for this season is $136 million, so they have room currently. And they have contracts slated to come off the books this summer. Along with some key decisions they will need to make on some of their best players.

For the 2024-25 season, the Jazz are sitting at $92.9 million currently, not counting cap holds and team options. They will have nearly $50 million in cap room to work with, though they are not likely to go chase a big-time free agent with it.

The front office is in building mode and will look to keep the money to extend the young talent they are meticulously adding to the roster, such as Keyonte George, Taylor Hendricks, Brice Sensabaugh, and Walker Kessler, as their rookie deals progress over the next few years.

FYI, the very recent additions of Taevion Kinsley and Kenneth Lofton Jr. to non-guaranteed deals are not included in this analysis, nor are the players signed on two-way contracts with the Utah Stars.

So let's look at the 15 Utah Jazz players under contract and rank them accordingly: Bad, Good, or Steals.
