The most recent NBA Rookie Ladder has been unveiled, with Keyonte George securing the seventh position. Boasting an average of 10.9 points and 5 assists, the 16th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft made a notable entrance onto the basketball stage, leaving an immediate impact for the Utah Jazz. Having started in 16 out of his 24 games played, he has shown why he is quickly becoming one of the biggest steals of the draft.

Rehabbing a left foot injury sustained on December 13th against the New York Knicks, George is now traveling with the team and has resumed on-court activity. With his recovery going well, Utah Jazz fans can breathe a sigh of relief as it seems he will resume playing very soon.

Additional rookies featured on the list include standout performances from Derek Lively II, securing the sixth spot, and Jaime Jaquez Jr., holding the third position. Both players have significantly contributed to their respective teams, playing pivotal roles in their success this season.

Before his injury, Keyonte George showcased consistent improvement, reaching new heights in his performance. A standout moment was his remarkable scoring game of 30 points against the Oklahoma City Thunder, displaying an impressive 55 percent efficiency from beyond the three-point line. With George set to make his comeback from injury, Utah Jazz fans can anticipate him hitting the ground running, especially considering that guard Jordan Clarkson is still in the recovery process from his own injury. The return of George adds another dynamic element to the team during Clarkson's absence.

As George resumes his play we can expect him to jump up in next week's Kia Rookie Ladder after having fallen from the 5th spot in the previous week's rankings. The Utah Jazz begin a five-game road stretch tonight against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first game of a back-to-back.
