4 players the Jazz could acquire with the $7.98 million room exception

The Jazz still have the room exception that they could use to acquire an expendable player, but who could they look into?

1. Jae'Sean Tate - Houston Rockets - $7,065,217

The Rockets have plenty of expiring contracts at the helm. Last we checked, they are saving them in the hopes that they can get a superstar talent to add to their playoff push.

Tate may be part of that particular equation, but they have plenty more besides him and may try to save money as best they can. If the Rockets want to cut ties with expendable players, and if the Jazz want to take a flyer, a Tate trade could certainly happen.

Tate's role with the Rockets has decreased with every passing year, as his minutes average has gone from 29.2 to 15.9 a game. Tate has produced enough in the past that the Jazz could easily take a look at him if they wanted to should the Rockets decide to part ways with him.
