The final home game of the 2023-24 season for the Utah Jazz.

And what a game it was.

The Jazz struggled early, going down by 10 points after a rough first quarter, 38-28, and despite a sellout crowd, looked like it might end up with a 14th loss in a row.

However, Talen Horton Tucker and Brice Sensabaugh refused to let the Jazz deficit grow, as they scored 16 of the first 18 points for the Jazz in the 2nd quarter to cut the Rockets' lead to 3 points. and Kenneth Lofton Jr. tied it up shortly after at 49 with a timely 3 pointer.

And then it was Keyonte George's turn - he scored 10 points to help close out the quarter as the Jazz trailed 67-64 at the half.

The 3rd quarter was a seesaw affair, with 8 Jazz players scoring in the period, leading to a 98-96 Jazz lead entering the 4th.

Houston missed 21 of their final 25 shots in the game...including an 0-13 stretch from Fred VanVleet, who had been red-hot before that point, with 42 points on 12-17 shooting.

Th Jazz ended up pulling out the win after a few scares in the final 2 minutes, 124-121.

Luka Samanic had a season-high 22 points and 6 rebounds to lead the team, while Keyonte George had 20 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists in support.

The 13-game losing streak comes to a merciful end, as the Jazz assured themselves of a winning season at home, with a 21-20 mark. This gives them their 40th winning season at home in their 45 seasons in Utah, and they have a 30-50 mark overall.

The Jazz head out on the road for their final 2 games, against the LA Clippers on Friday night, and the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco on Sunday afternoon.
