Bucks vs. Jazz NBA expert prediction and odds for Sunday, Feb. 4 (Bet Utah at home)

The Utah Jazz have been great to bet on at home this season, and they may have the edge against the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday.

The Utah Jazz failed to cover the spread in their last game as a home favorite, but the team gets a favorable matchup on Sunday against a Milwaukee Bucks team that had to come from behind to beat the shorthanded Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night.

The Bucks are 4-3 against the spread on the second night of back-to-backs this season, but the team is just 1-2 ATS as a road dog, and it could sit players in this matchup.

After opening at Bucks +1, this spread has moved to Bucks +2.5, a sign that oddsmakers expect someone key to sit out for Milwaukee.

How should we bet on this matchup given the latest odds movement?

Bucks vs. Jazz key players to watch

Milwaukee Bucks

Giannis Antetokounmpo: The Bucks have yet to announce their injury report, so there’s a chance Antetokounmpo sits out the second night of a back-to-back, but he had a massive game against Dallas, scoring 48 points. Giannis is averaging 31.9 points per game while shooting 61.8 percent from the field since Jan. 1.

Utah Jazz

Lauri Markkanen: If Utah is going to snap its three-game losing streak, Markkanen is going to need to have a big game. He did have 28 points in the team’s loss to Philly, but he’s also scored fewer than 15 points in three of his last six matchups. On the season, Lauri is averaging 23.6 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.

Bucks vs. Jazz prediction and pick

The Jazz are 6-2 against the spread as home favorites this season, and they have the best overall against-the-spread record at home in the NBA.

I wouldn't be shocked to see the Bucks sit one of Khris Middleton (38 minutes yesterday), Giannis (40 minutes yesterday), or Damian Lillard (38 minutes yesterday) in this matchup.

The Bucks have struggled as underdogs, and the team still lacks some depth, which could be impactful on the second night of a back-to-back.

Utah failed to cover against Philly, but it took a 50-point game by Tyrese Maxey to make that happen.

The Jazz have struggled on defense this season, but so have the Bucks, which could allow Utah to keep this close even if Milwaukee plays everyone. Given the latest odds movement, I’m going to side with Utah.
