It's Thanksgiving in the United States, and with the holiday upon us, we thought it'd be a good day to look at some of the many reasons that we, as Utah Jazz fans, should be thankful for this holiday season. The Jazz are not off to a good start, and the team has many, many questions to answer going forward, but that doesn't mean there isn't anything to be optimistic or hopeful about.
No, in fact, the Jazz have one of the brightest futures in the league, even if they are seven games under .500 at the time this article is being developed. Still, the Jazz have a lot to offer fans and we want to give thanks for what we have.
Not what we don't have, like a winning record. So with that, here are just four things we're thankful for this Thanksgiving season.
Lauri Markkanen
The dynamic scoring talent of Lauri Markkanen is among the best in the league. Watching him go toe to toe with Kevin Durant really highlighted the fact that this man can score the ball among the best in the NBA. Now if only Will Hardy would realize that.
Young Talent
While the top talent around a guy like Markkanen isn't great, the young talent around him has so much upside. Collin Sexton and Ochai Agbaji have shown potnetial as they've continued to acclimate to the Jazz's system, while rookies Keyonte George, Brice Sensabaugh, and Taylor Hendricks have all shown potential for what they can be for this team. The struggles right now are real but the payoff should be worth it down the line.
All them draft Picks
The Jazz have a ton of first-round draft picks over the next seven years or so. They're swimming in them basically. If they can build more depth with future picks by trading away a few key vets, then this team will be set for the next decade.
Those dope City Edition Jerseys
The 2023-2024 NBA City Edition Jerseys may be an all-time great look for the Jazz. The purple and silver really works on a level few other jerseys in the world of pro sports can ever hope to hit.
