Kira Lewis

If it wasn't for the fact that Kira Lewis was the 13th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, there would be no reason for this young man to be on the Utah Jazz. He is just 22 years old, but we've seen enough of him to know that he's not a quality NBA player. He's been on three NBA teams already (drafted by the New Orleans Pelicans, and traded to the Toronto Raptors) while having two stops in the G-League.

Lewis has proven in every spot that he's just not good. In the G-League he's a career 41.2% shooter from the field, while in the NBA he's a career 39.4% shooter from the floor. He's a point guard, and he can't hit a mid-range shot to save his life. Made even worse is the fact that the further he gets from the basket, the worse he gets. He's a 28.8% three-pointer shooter in the G-League and a 29.9% three-point shooter in the NBA.

What point guard in today's NBA can't at least hit 35% from three? He can't shoot and he can't score. He's also a bad defender, incapable of making an impact on that side of the floor. He does have something going for him, he's not a terrible ball-handler, however. He only turns the ball over 11% of the time, which is less than Collin Sexton, so he has that going for him.

Regardless, the team can't afford guys who have such giant holes in their game the way Lewis does.
