So, what is Brice Sensabaugh, anyway? Ever since he started to blossom a little with the Utah Jazz last seasonhe's always garnered comparisons to former Jazz alumni, from Georges Niang to Bojan Bogdanovic. Following his recent stretch of play, Sensabaugh was compared to a beloved Jazz alum that would make picking him a home run: Joe Johnson.

After Sensabaugh's latest performance against Dallas, the X account Point Made Basketball explained why he sees shades of Johnson in the Jazz youngster's game.

Sensabaugh's had a bit of an uneven season, but has been going off lately. It's not like this is exactly unfamiliar territory, but this would be a positive development for the Jazz if he is putting it together (even if they aren't winning any games).

Comparing him to Johnson is setting the bar high, as everyone should not forget that Iso Joe is a Basketball Hall of Fame nominee with a legitimate case for induction. However, it's how they score that makes their games so similar.

Like Johnson, Sensabaugh isn't the most fluid athlete, but knows how to use his advantages (his naturally stocky body) to know how to get his shots up. Johnson was not a high flyer, but knew exactly how to pick his spots. It's why he wasn't only one of the best scorers, but also maintained his scoring ability even when he was past his prime when he played for Utah.

Sensabaugh has shown his scoring ability for some time. His only problem has been his consistency. Johnson didn't quite figure himself out until his third year, but everyone reaches their peak at different times. Just ask Lauri Markkanen.

No one should be setting Sensabaugh's bar at Iso Joe, but no one should disregard how similar the playing styles are.

If Sensabaugh is the Jazz version of Iso Joe, that's a home run

Again, what everyone would love to see from Sensabaugh is if he can keep up a hot scoring stretch for more than a few games. It's nice to see him get his act together this season. Sensabaigh probably won't be a multi-time All-Star like Johnson was, but if he is a certified bucket who plays around the same level Johnson was when he became a Jazzman, Utah should be running victory laps.

Utah already has a few solid sources of scoring on the team already with Lauri Markkanen and Keyonte George. If Sensabaugh can mold himself into becoming a dependable second unit scorer, that should fit snugly with the Jazz's playoff aspirations.

He doesn't have to be Iso Joe to be a success story for the Jazz, but he could be successful enough to call himself Ice Brice.
