The 2025 NBA Draft has officially wrapped up, and the Utah Jazz have added three new players: Ace Bailey, Walter Clayton Jr., and John Tonje. However, it didn't end there, as the Jazz have also added St. John's alum RJ Luis Jr. to a two-way contract, first reported by ESPN's Shams Charania. KSTP's Darren Wolfson also reported that the Jazz have signed Wisconsin's Steven Crowl to an Exhibit 10 contract.

Luis is coming off an impressive junior year with St. John's, as he broke out with the team this past season. In 35 games, he averaged 18.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.4 steals while shooting nearly 44% from the field and 33.6% from three.
He collected quite a few accolades during his senior year, being a second-team All-American, Big East Player of the Year, First-Team All-Big East, and the Big East Tourney MVP. It's safe to say that the Jazz picked a player who could offer something, even if he's starting his NBA career as an undrafted free agent and on a two-way contract.
By signing his two-way contract, Luis will likely be on Utah's Summer League team, which should give fans a glimpse into what he can do on an NBA level.
Then there's Crowl. His statistics won't jump off the page, but being a seven-footer with a three-point stroke makes him intriguing. Crowl shot 36.3% from three during his collegiate career with Wisconsin. His last year ended with him shooting 41.6% from three.
While it's not like Utah has a shortage of floor-stretching big men, Crowl is an interesting flyer. If he plays next to all three of Lauri Markkanen, John Collins, and Kyle FIlipowski, Crowl might just be able to become a stretch big in a league that values that archetype.
What about the Jazzmen who played on two-way contracts last year?
Luis and Crowl deserve a fair shot to make it on Utah's opening night roster, even if it's still in the air about what the future holds for them. Those two signing deals with the team put Micah Potter's, Oscar Tshiebwe's, and Elijah Harkless' futures in Utah all into question.
Those were the three Jazzmen who took their three two-way contract roster spots. While there are two two-way contract roster spots left, there's no telling if any of them will be on the roster next year. That should make for quite the Summer League.
The Jazz may very well hold auditions through their Summer League this summer. None of those three players shriveled in the moment, so now with the lights shining brighter than ever for them, if the Jazz bring them back, everyone will get to see the full extent of their abilities this summer.
