The Utah Jazz have been busy this offseason, from assembling their team of tomorrow to distancing themselves from the team of yesterday, they are clearly making a huge transition. It appears they may be on the verge of aiding the former, as Isaiah Wong is reportedly on their radar.

RG.org's Spencer Davies revealed that the Jazz have been in touch with Wong and his representatives. This is not the first time Wong and the Jazz have been linked together.

"RG has learned that Wong and his representation have had productive conversations with the Utah Jazz, the organization with which he spent training camp last season before being waived in early October," Davies wrote.

Davies also explained some of Wong's most recent accomplishments, including how he fared with the last NBA team he suited up for.

"Suiting up for the Boston Celtics currently, Isaiah Wong is coming off a championship season with Zalgiris Kaunas of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) and Euroleague. He played in a career-high 20 games for the Charlotte Hornets last season on a two-way contract, shooting nearly 40% from beyond the arc."

Davies didn't provide other details, but Wong has some appeal to the Jazz, as he has familiarity with their G-League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars, having played for them before joining the Hornets last season.

The Jazz have RJ Luis Jr. signed to a two-way contract, but have other spots open at the moment. That just might be where they slot in Wong if the two sides can agree to a contract.

The Jazz have a long history of G-League success stories

The Jazz have actually been quite consistent in helping NBA hopefuls make their dreams come true by providing them with opportunities to develop within their G-League system. The biggest success stories of the past decade include those of Royce O'Neale and Georges Niang, with the most recent being Johnny Juzang.

Utah recently cut Juzang to open up a roster spot, but that wasn't because Juzang didn't prove himself an NBA player. This hasn't been officially confirmed, but it's likely they cut him to open up time for the young players who play the same position as him, including Ace Bailey, Cody Williams, and Brice Sensabaugh.

Now, no one should expect Wong to come in and be a core part of the Jazz's future. in fact, it might be setting the bar too high to expect him to be the same success story they were, but it's one of those situations where it can't really hurt the Jazz much to add someone like him, so as long as its a flyer on a two-way contract, why not?
