It seems like forever ago, but Malik Beasley was once a member of the Utah Jazz. His tenure in Utah didn't last long. As a throw-in in the Rudy Gobert trade, Beasley was soon traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, which honestly didn't go much better for him.
However, since then, Beasley's career has had a bit of a resurgence over the last two years. First, he established himself as a Bucks sharpshooter and has only added to that since going to Detroit. His 16.2 point average is his highest since 2022, and he's shooting 41.2% from three while hitting nearly four a game.
Beasley's rise has led to a rather iconic celebration any time he makes a pivotal play: the shimmy.

However, it should come as no surprise that doing this will lead to opponents throwing it right back in his face. In this case, it was Beasley's former teammate, Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Giannis trolled Beasley during Bucks victory over Pistons
Giannis trolled Beasley by doing the shimmy after blocking his shot in the closing seconds of the Bucks victory over the Pistons. Needless to say that Beasley did not take it well.

The Jazz alum's frustration is understandable. Giannis is rubbing it in after the Bucks beat the Pistons, but Beasley can't be surprised that one of his ex-teammates trolled him after he's been trolling his NBA teams all season. The most hilarious part is that this isn't the first time Beasley's former teammates have trolled him in this exact fashion.

It's been nice to see the Jazz alum figure his role out in the NBA. When he played for the Jazz, it was highly questioned whether he was truly an effective basketball player. He actually put up higher scoring numbers in Minnesota, but that was back when they were as bad then as the Jazz are now.
In the last two years, Beasley has proven that he really is an impactful NBA player. Sure, he's not a star and never will be, but he has found his niche, and some players aren't that lucky. It demonstrates that it's never too late.
If there's one former teammate who knows what it's like for Beasley to have the sudden career boost, it's Lauri Markkanen. Before Utah, the potential with Markkanen was there, but he never quite figured out what he was as an NBa player.
Once he became a Jazzman, the rest was history from there. Sure, his long-term place with the Jazz is in more doubt now than ever, but it's undeniable that Markkanen, even if he was a late-bloomer, became the star many thought he could be.
Though to be fair, Markkanen didn't become a troll because of it...
