Bojan Bogdanovic saw his career end prematurely this season. The Utah Jazz alum didn't necessarily decline, but rampant injuries forced him into early retirement. Luckily it appears he already has his next job post-retirement lined up: becoming president of one of his former teams.
No, not NBA. Bogdanovic spent a good chunk of his professional basketball career overseas. Among them was KK Cibona. Basketball Network's Bruno Feliks reported that Bogdanovic is close to becoming the president of his former team.
Bojan Bogdanovic should become the president of the two-time EuroLeague champion KK Cibona after retiring from the game this summer.

The 10-year NBA vet is very close to deciding to accept the new role and bring back to glory the club that has produced numerous NBA stars.
Multiple professional basketball players, both current and previous, have played for KK Cibona, including Bogdanovic, Dario Saric, Drazen Petrovic, Dino Radja, and Jazz alum Gordan Giricek. It's clear they have a good history of finding and developing some solid NBA talent.
With Bogdanovic supposedly about to run the show, there's no telling how many more players like him will come out of that franchise. That might be why they were so quick to hire him right away not too long after the Jazz alum hung it up.
That might not necessarily mean more players like Bogdanovic will come out, but there may be players who could have a similar impact as him: an excellent complementary piece on a playoff contender looking to contend for a title.
Bogdanovic deserves the title of an esteemed Jazz alum
Not many players as good as Bogdanovic have willingly come play for the Jazz over the years, but he did, and better yet, he did so with the belief that his addition would vault Utah to another level. Things may not have turned out that way, but Utah did not have any regrets adding him to the team.
Bogdanovic is one of their best free agent success stories, of course, but his influence could create more stories like his or even better. To this day, he remains one of the Jazz's greatest free agency successes, as he not only lived up to what Utah paid him to do, but he also played a role in the Jazz's most successful team of the past decade.
Sure, his tenure ended a little bizarrely (in the sense that Utah's return for him was a little odd), but Bogdanovic is remembered fondly by Jazz faithful, which he definitely deserves. It's a shame his NBA career ended not too long after his Jazz tenure ended, but at least he's making the most out of his situation.
Based on how well he did in Utah and really his NBA career in general, KK Cibona is definitely making the right choice with him.
