San Antonio Spurs:

"Jazz receive: Doug McDermott, Cedi Osman 1st Rd Draft Pick Spurs Receive: Jordan Clarkson"

The Jeremy Sochan at point guard experiment has not been going great for the Spurs and should they look to add a guard to the rotation, Clarkson will be on their radar. Sure, they have Tre Jones who has looked promising so far in his career, he doesn’t seem to be anything more than a role player, much like his brother Tyus. The Jazz receives salary filler and a future first which the Spurs have plenty of from various teams.

Jordan Clarkson has proved himself to be a winning player for the Utah Jazz, he can add a veteran presence to a team without much leadership in San Antonio. Shot creation has been an issue for the Spurs this season aside from guard Devin Vassell whom Clarkson can also serve as a mentor for. San Antonio is fully focused on developing French big man Victor Wembanyama and adding talent around him is a crucial part of that.

Coach Gregg Popovich has shown in the past how much he likes having a flamethrower coming off the bench and that is exactly how Clarkson has been utilized throughout his career on every team he has been a part of.
